Blue is such a stunningly calm color, and one of the best parts about it is that you can play around with the shades to make it more turquoise or green. These bright sky blue bar stools featured on The Kitchn look absolutely incredible in this white kitchen along with the comparably bright yellow accents.
One size fits all rarely works, even when talking about furniture or other home-related products. Countertops are a good example. The standard height for a kitchen counter is 36” off the floor. While that may be OK for some people, in a lot of cases the counter can either be too low or too high. After all, we’re all different so why should we settle for something that doesn’t fit? Since industry standard heights don’t work for everybody, the natural solution to the problem is a custom countertop height that’s tailor made for the person or persons using it.
Lastly, when decorating your breakfast nook, remember that it does not necessarily need to look like an extension of your existing kitchen décor. As long as it complements the rest of the space, it’s okay to add different colors, patterns and textures to give the space its own identity. In the end, your breakfast nook should be the perfect place to enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a good book.
