Since induction cooktops are a relatively new creation, lots of people seem to be concerned about all sorts of things. For example, there’s the issue related to power. Induction cooktops are much more powerful than gas stoves so there’s really nothing to worry about it in this sector. Also, there’s the problem of radiations. However, there are no radiation-associated hazards that come with using an induction cooktop so this is just another myth.
Also, electric stoves are useless during power outages. If you live in an area subject to frequent power outages, this is not the type of stove you should be using. They use a lot of electricity and not all generators are able to handle that.
Another great advantage that comes with using an induction cooktop is that there is no wasted heat. The energy is supplied to the cooking vessel by the magnetic fields and this way it all gets transferred to the vessel without anything getting lost during the process. With traditional stoves, the kitchen becomes a sauna when you’re cooking something because lots of the heat gets lost instead of being used properly.
