This is simply amore subtle variation of the classic red-black-white color scheme discussed previously, but the effect is still modern and fresh. Maintaining the white color on the cabinets and walls (the perimeter of the kitchen) and popping in some steel elements in appliances helps to keep the star of the kitchen the coral center island. But a thick white countertop throughout adds cohesion, even to cabinetry that is different. This is a key element – one of simplicity and consistency amidst design variations – of modern style.
Unique designs are constantly emerging on the market, you only need to keep an eye out. Mammut floor kitchen hoods certainly look impressive, but you may require much more space to accommodate even one of those.
We’re starting with the basics. When it comes to kitchens, organization is key. The more clutter on display, the more claustrophobic the space will feel. We know that kitchens are fun to decorate. But resist the temptation to fill the counter tops with purely decorative items. Instead, have your decor pull double duty. Pick a few small containers that you love, and fill them with practical tools and utensils. Or let a modern tea kettle make a statement, as shown in the image below.
The freestanding and adjustable wooden worktop is one of the most useful features of Look that can be mounted on any base unit and offers ample flexibility in terms of both height and width. Decorative strips that put the final touches on the freestanding units and fabulous shelves ensure that each Look kitchen composition has its own, unmistakable personality despite the minimal sheen.
Dining peninsulas can be cool and practical as well. With these you really don’t have to buy a dining table, although you might need to splurge on a ceiling pendant still. Dining areas like that look more casual, but it doesn’t mean they can’t be stylish and elegant.
The way you decorate and organize an L-shaped kitchen doesn’t actually give much room for creativity but, nevertheless, there are plenty of options and ways in which you can make your kitchen feel original and beautiful. We’ve selected 20 examples to illustrate that.
