If you want your backsplash to look as if it’s made of wood without actually using this material in the kitchen, the solution couldn’t be simpler: use peel and stick faux wood flooring strips. Working with them is extremely easy. Just measure the space, cut them to size and stick them onto the wall. Finish the project with your choice of paint color, apply two coats and enjoy the new look.
This type of design is simple and versatile enough to look good in a variety of different settings. The traditional setup presented here is not the only option. Imagine the same backsplash in a more modern décor and combined with other colors.
Mosaics and Focal Points, The biggest real estate for a focal point is behind the stove. Create focal points by changing up the pattern or color scheme of your materials, whether that’s laying tile at an angle or mixing and matching complimentary colors. And if you’re on a budget, splurge on that stove-top wall and use a less expensive material everywhere else.
